SASI Invitation

Invitation to join the South African school of individualism

Over the last 40 years  we have developed a unique brand of the freedom philosophy in South Africa. In that time we have held 36 spring seminars, organised 4 political parties, gathered around 400 contacts and written numerous articles and manifestos. The next seminar is in Midrand in November.

The Consent Axiom was developed in 2012 and became the de facto standard for South African libertarians. However, as libertarianism grew more popular, the definition of a libertarian became ever more vague. In 2018 the Individualist Movement promoted the term “individualist” to replace the devalued “libertarian”, and proposed the HarmConsentRule (HCR) as a South African alternative to the popular American Non Aggression Principle (NAP).

The South African School of Individualism (SASI) was setup in 2024 to weave all these strands together into a cohesive whole, to actively recruit new and existing freedom-oriented folk into a meaningful new entity. SASI is a voluntary association of individuals who subscribe to a particular set of principles as expressed in the Individualist Manifesto and the HarmConsentRule. It is based in South Africa but not restricted to South Africans.

In a world filled with strange and competing ideologies, SASI provides a simple and consistent set of principles which identify you as a rational and freedom-loving individual, and provides a template for adjudicating the many ethical challenges facing you. These principles are Respect, Consent, Property and Trial by jury.

There are 3 grades of SASI membership, each with its own privileges -
